The 97th Oscars will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the Dolby® Theatre in Hollywood and will be televised live on ABC starting at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. NewsOne will be providing full coverage.

PLEASE NOTE: This year, the live Oscars broadcast will be followed on the Network by an episode of “American Idol.”

 

We will pick up again with GROUP LIVE INTROS and custom live shots for late newscasts after the end of Network primetime programming in all time zones from the Red Carpet with Reporter Jaclyn Lee.  GROUP LIVE INTROS are available at the following times:

  • ONE MINUTE AFTER THE END OF “AMERICAN IDOL” (EXACT HIT TIME TBA) 

 

EASTERN/CENTRAL TIME ZONE STATIONS NOTE: This Group Live Intro will start 1:00 (one minute) after the end of “American Idol.” We will advise you of the exact hit time of the Group Live Intro via Slack and the NewsOne Topstory advisory AND Jaclyn Lee will announce the hit time of the Group Live Intro on NewsOne Live Channel 3. 

 

FOR MOUNTAIN TIME ZONE STATIONS:

 

  • OPTION 1: ONE MINUTE AFTER THE END OF “AMERICAN IDOL” (EXACT HIT TIME TBA)

  • ONE MINUTE AFTER THE END OF THE RE-BROADCAST OF THE OSCARS BROADCAST (EXACT HIT TIME TBA) 

 

PACIFIC TIME ZONE STATIONS NOTE: The Group Live Intro will start 1:00 (one minute) after the end of the re-broadcast of the Oscars program. We will advise you of the exact hit time of the Group Live Intro via Slack and the NewsOne Topstory advisory. 


** A REMINDER ON NEWSONE GROUP LIVE INTROS: For Group Live Intros, the NewsOne reporter starts the Group Live Intro at a specific time and does a live intro ONLY (there is no live tag).  STATIONS MUST THEN ROLL THE NEWSONE REPORTER PACKAGE ON THEIR OWN.  NEWSONE DOES NOT ROLL THE PACKAGE FOR GROUP LIVE INTROS.  Packages to be used with the Group Live Intros always have a standup close at the end or an “ABC News” audio tag at the end.
