Several pieces are timed to coincide with key observances, but you’re welcome to air them whenever they best fit your schedule once they’ve been delivered. Unless otherwise noted, all stories will be available starting at 4:00 a.m. on the listed dates. If any delivery dates change, we’ll share updates promptly.
25th ANNIVERSARY OF 9/11 - America Remembers
As the nation prepares to mark 25 years since the September 11, 2001, terror attacks, NewsOne is planning comprehensive coverage honoring those who were lost, the survivors, the first responders and the generations still carrying the impact of that day.
New this year, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum will add a seventh moment of silence during the anniversary commemoration. It will honor those who have died from illnesses connected to their time at or near the World Trade Center site.
FRIDAY, September 4:
National Food Bank Day: The News Face of Hunger (VOSOT)
Rising grocery, housing and utility costs are pushing families with jobs, but little money left after paying their bills, to seek food assistance. Nearly half of people experiencing food insecurity earn too much to qualify for SNAP, according to Feeding America. Food insecurity now exists in every U.S. county.
SATURDAY, September 5:
America Remembers -- Never Forget (VOSOT)
Brett Eagleson lost his father in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on September 11 and has since become an outspoken advocate for fellow families in his role as president of 9/11 Justice, a grassroots organization that has long implicated the involvement of Saudi Arabia and lobbied for further investigation of the Middle Eastern nation to seek accountability for those impacted by the tragedy.
MONDAY, September 7:
America Remembers -- Preserving the Scars
At the 9/11 Memorial Museum located at the World Trade Center in New York City, a collection of artifacts from the tragedies of September 11th, 2001 are on display. Unlike other museums which intend to restore objects to pristine condition, here the goal is to preserve the objects in their damaged state. We sat down with the museum's chief curator, Jan Ramirez.
MONDAY, September 7:
America Remembers -- Final Tower at the World Trade Center Site (VOSOT)
A quarter century after the September 11 attacks left a void in Lower Manhattan, American Express breaks ground on its new headquarters at 2 World Trade Center. The 55-story glass-and-steel tower will include two million square feet of space and more than an acre of outdoor terraces and gardens. The project marks the final commercial development within the footprint of the original World Trade Center complex.

America Remembers -- A Mother’s Promise After September 11th
Twenty-five years after losing her husband on September 11, a mother shares how she raised their four year old twins, the promise she made to preserve their joy and how her children helped guide the family through unimaginable grief.
WEDNESDAY, September 9:
America Remembers -- No One Forgotten
Nearly 25 years after the September 11 attacks, New York City’s Office of Chief Medical Examiner continues the painstaking work of identifying remains recovered from Ground Zero. Using advances in DNA technology, scientists are still working to give families answers and return loved ones to them. ABC News Aaron Katersky reports on the families still waiting.

America Remembers -- 25 Years Later: How 9/11 Changed America
Twenty-five years after the attacks, Americans pass through airport security, receive emergency alerts on their phones, and work in buildings designed with enhanced safety features, often without realizing many of those changes were shaped by the lessons of September 11. This story examines how the attacks transformed the nation’s approach to security, technology, emergency response, and public safety.
THURSDAY, September 10:
America Remembers -- Fire House Tradition (VOSOT)
A firehouse near ground zero writes' staff members on a shift board each morning. Six of their crew didn't return on 9/11. For 25 years they've worked to preserve their names on the chalkboard. This year one of the museums in NYC brought in preservationists to make the names permanent on the board so they can be remembered forever.

National School Picture Day **REMINDER This could be a fun anchor moment**
This is a great chit-chat story for anchors… Have the on-air talent share some of their wildest school pictures…. Dig out your favorite school pictures. While you are reminiscing, be sure to share them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Tell us your favorite memories. Of course, each era claims outstanding style points - big hair, big collars, bold colors. What were yours? We all change and your children will, too. Be sure to capture all the important moments on school Picture Day.

MONDAY, September 14:
Monday Night Football (MINI PKG)
ABC kicks off Monday Night Football in Kansas City, when the Chiefs take on the Denver Broncos. News One will offer a kick off pkg as we head to Inglewood, Ca for Super Bowl 61. For more than half a century, Monday Night Football has transformed the beginning of the workweek into a weekly national event. As the new season kicks off, this story explores the rituals that keep the tradition alive—from families who have watched together for generations to sports bars preparing for their first big Monday of the season. The package also examines how Monday Night Football remains culturally relevant as viewers increasingly choose streaming and on-demand entertainment. The Broncos-Chiefs matchup provides a strong backdrop, but the fans—and their traditions—drive the story.
MONDAY, September 14:
The Hits No One Sees
As high school football season gets underway, there is a growing push to better protect young athletes from repeated head impacts. Researchers are using new technology to track not only major collisions, but also the routine hits that may contribute to long-term brain damage, including CTE. This story examines whether better data and stronger safety measures can make the game safer for young players.

Celebrates the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans.
TUESDAY, September 22:
School Enrollment Down
School enrollment is declining across the nation, forcing some districts to close or consolidate schools, cut staff and rethink how they spend limited resources. This story examines what is driving the decline, how shrinking enrollment is affecting classrooms and communities, and what it could mean for the future of public education.
TUESDAY, September 29:
Disposing GLP-1 Needles
As the use of GLP-1 weight-loss medications continues to rise, so does the number of used needles and injection pens being discarded. We will look into how to safely dispose of these medical sharps, the risks improper disposal poses to sanitation workers and the public, and whether communities are prepared for the growing waste.
